Making Money on the Internet

Making money on the internet is one of the popular searches made by millions of people looking for new and fun opportunities to earn an income or supplement their income using the world's most powerful resource, the internet. The biggest misconception about making money on the internet is that it is easy and cash will flow to you in buckets. This is so not true!

In order to experience an actual profit online you must realize that it takes tons of effort, time, and patience in order to be successful. There is NO "get rich scheme" and if you think that there is, you are going to be sorely disappointed.

 

About a year ago, I too started to look the the world wide web in search for opportunities to substitute my income, then eventually turn it into a full-time home internet based business opportunity. I quickly found out that there are literally thousands of ways to do this but not many of them seemed like a legitimate home business, nor anything that would interest me. I did however in my search come across a very respectable site called Site Build It! that I absolutely fell in love with and used this proven system to create this website I couldn't be happier with what they provide you for support and information.

 

What I learned from the process of creating my own content-driven or hobby based websites is that there are so many different applications and features available that can generate income from your site. Some of the most popular ways of earning an income from your website are through product sales, Google Adwords, Banner Ads, Affiliate Programs, as well as generating leads for your online social or networking business or opportunity. The key in generating a generous amount of income is to gets TONS of traffic to your site. A great site is nothing without traffic, which obviously will generate income faster than low traffic stats.

 

Product Sales--this is pretty obvious but basically you are selling a product that you either recommend to your viewers or one that you personally have produced. This is my main form of income as I am a Corporate Health Consultant and an Independent Beachbody Coach and I promote my services and products that people are looking for.

 

So, when someone is looking for a home fitness routine and happen to come across my website, they purchase a program from me or ask inquire with me about doing what I do as a coach. I love having a content drive site because not only is it easier to find customers (without nagging them) but it is also much more fun to have people contact you instead of me going to them!

 

Banner Ads- What used to be one of the most effective ways, and most "pretty" ways of attracting business I still use these on my website, as you can see on the sides of my website but this is by not the profitable avenue of making money on the internet. I like to use them because they are visually appeaing and because it seems to add some value to my website.

 

I have heard that they are not that profitable for people because the click-through ratio is not that great but for my website I use them for ease of getting viewers to learn more about my Beachbody Coaching business and what I can do for them!

 

Google Adwords--Most often referred to as "PPC or pay-per-click" are one of the easiest ways earn money online from your website. You simply place text based ads on your site and are paid each time someone clicks from your site to a google ad. The more valuable the keyword, the most profit you will earn from Google. You can add Google images, search boxes, and other tools provided to you by Google to earn money each time someone clicks on your page. I have provided an example below.

 

 

Affiliate Programs-there are hundreds of companies out there that will allow you to advertise their products or services on your website and for every purchase from your site, you will earn a profit from that sale. There are a few affiliate program programs like LinkShare, Commission Junction, and even Amazon.com that are very respectable and highly used programs.

 

The key to making money on the internet is finding the right program to meet your interests and needs. Do NOT fall for anything that promises to produce thousands of dollars a month with NO effort required as more than likely they are scams and will not be successful for you!
